Guitarlift is the new and innovative approach to guitar support. This product is an exiting development in the range and for many guitarists it might be the answer to finding the perfect playing position. At London Guitar Studio we are excited to offer the full range of Guitarlifts, available in four different styles to suit you.
The Guitarlift is attached to the back of a classical guitar using four suction-cups. As you can imagine, these work perfectly on smooth lacquered and dust-free surfaces. Each suction-cup can be repositioned through fixed holes that run along the edges of the Guitarlift giving you the opportunity to have the rest adapted to suit you, almost to the millimetre.
The way that the Guitarlift attaches to the guitar is important, not only for the ultimate fit and comfort, but also because of the minimal impact that this technique has on the sound of the guitar. By minimising contact between the support and the back of the guitar it doesn't have the effect of dampening the sound and so the guitarist instead benefits from more comfort, improved position and in turn greater projection.
The way that the Guitarlift has been designed means that the area that sits upon the thigh is cut to fit any leg. This area is surrounded by a sponge rubber cushion for great comfort. The versatility of the design means that a simple flip of the Guitarlift and it is suitable to be used with the other leg so it's of no consequence whether you play left or right handed.
Our Guitarlift Range
We have the full range of Guitarlifts available to choose from at London Guitar Studio. The 'Large' model is actually the standard size, the original Guitarlift so to speak. The 'Medium' Guitarlift is smaller than the Large, offering a much more narrow cutout for the leg and can be used for smaller guitars and also as a 'half-plate' for larger guitars. The 'Small' Guitarlift, or 'half-plate', offers the same leg cutout as the Large model only with a smaller backplate. This might be preferable for guitarists who like to have contact with the instrument.
