About The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music
The Associated Board supports music learning and development across the world and provides assessments for some 650,000 candidates every year. Students of the guitar can work towards grades 1 to 8, each of which has a defined syllabus laid out by the Associated Board. That syllabus includes a selection of pieces from which you must chose the ones you wish to perform during the exam. You will find here everything you need to study for the guitar exams and to perfect your performance including Time Pieces for Guitar volume 1 and 2, Guitar Scales and Arpeggios, Music Theory in Practice and the exam pieces on CD for each grade.
