Teodoro Perez Especial Spruce Top Classical Guitar

EXCLUSIVE TO LONDON GUITAR STUDIO

Teodoro Pérez was born in the province of Soria, in Spain in 1952. He started his studies in Madrid and when he finished them he began to work in 1966 as a student in José Ramirez III’s workshop in Concepcion Jeronima nº2, Where he began to make lutes, bandurias and mandolins.

In this period he had the great honor to meet the masters, Andrés Segovia, Narciso Yepes and other famous concert and flamenco guitar players.

Three years later, José Ramirez III decided to send him to the workshop in General Margallo Street in Madrid in order for him to work as a real guitar maker.

It was there where he began his apprenticeship with great masters who works there in that years.

In 1969, after passing the appropriate tests, and with the approval of José Ramírez, he qualified First Official. During the years of his professional career with José Ramírez III, Teodoro Pérez built many instruments, where, to begin with, he stamped his initials GPM.

After 26 years working with José Ramírez III, in 1991 he decided to set up in his own company where their instruments began to be famous in all the world.

This guitar, as told to me by Teodoro is one of his best.  The special soundhole combined with the beautiful Madagascan rosewood on the back and sides, not to mention the quality of the sound this guitar produces, is one of the best guitars I have ever tried.

A clear sound with a spanish feel, this guitar is suitable for all types of repertoire and lends itself very well for amateurs and professionals alike.
