Ahmad Naffory is an experienced Syrian-Dutch guitar maker, musician, and artist. Ahmad studied at the University of Damascus (Fine Arts), the Conservatory of Beirut, and completed his studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam . After working for four years at the guitar shop La Guitarra Buena, he decided to start his own business: Casa Guitarra based in Amsterdam.
With over 30 self-built instruments, Ahmad is known for his craftsmanship and attention to detail. His guitars are custom-made and meet the specific needs of both professional musicians and enthusiasts.
About the Guitar
This handcrafted classical guitar by Naffory (2025) is a beautifully balanced instrument inspired by the legendary work of Santos Hernández.
This guitar is based on the iconic design of Santos Hernández, offering powerful volume, excellent projection, and a full, rich bass response. The trebles are bright, clear, and have that "singing" character often found in vintage guitars. It has long sustain, beautiful balance, and a fast, comfortable action that makes it especially suited for soloists.
It’s an instrument with the sound and feel of an old soul, built for expressive playing and dynamic range.
