Dennis Tolz Cedar Top Classical Guitar April 2016

Exclusive Seller UK

This is one of the finest examples of using nomex that I have seen.

What Dennis Tolz has achieved at such a young age is unbelievable and this guitar is currently one of the best in our collection.

A good volume synonymous with nomex tops but a clarity normally found in spruce top guitars, this is the ideal combination and suits all kinds of repertoire.

It is a very comfortable neck thus making it very easy to play.

A beautiful sound.

  • Top Cedar Composite Top(Nomex)
  • Back And Sides Indian Rosewood
  • Neck Mahogany
  • Fingerboard Ebony
  • Bridge Indian Rosewood
  • Nut And Saddle Bone
  • Tuners Scheller
  • Varnish French Polish

The instrument has a scale length of 650mm with 20 full frets, a v-joint connects the head to the neck and the bridge is made with a 12-hole tie block.

Dennis was born on the first of September 1985 and grew up in Berlin. He started playing the guitar at the age of fifteen. At this time he already knew that he would like to work with this instrument. When he discovered the craft of guitar making his wish to become a guitar maker was born.

After finishing his A levels he decided to go to Newark, England for 2 years, in order to study guitar making at the Newark School of Instrument Making. During this time he also visited the workshops of several English guitar makers and gained some experience there. As the best student of his year he was awarded the Ashley Mark Publishing Prize of the Classical Guitar Magazine UK.

After returning to Germany in 2008, he decided to continue his studies at the University of Applied Science. He currently resides in Berlin in his workshop making some of the most amazing guitars today.
