About Rathbone Guitars

At London Guitar Studio we are proud to offer a fantastic selection of guitars from Rathbone. Shop from compact travel-friendly electro-acoustics to classic orchestra models, available in a range of interesting tonewoods.

Rathbone are a makers steeped in history. In 1900, a company named Barnes & Mullins relocated from Wimborne in Dorset to Rathbone Place, London. It was from here that the Rathbone name would eventually be born and it has been synonymous with quality musical instruments ever since. What began at Barnes & Mullins with banjos and mandolins soon grew to include acoustic guitars, instruments that quickly found favour with bands and orchestras around the country.

As a testament to the quality of craftmanship woven into each Rathbone guitar, remarkably a handful of early Barnes & Mullins instruments are still in circulation to this day.
